Chirpify Debuts New Product, Actiontags

Portland-based Chirpify said this morning that it has launched a new product, #actiontags, which lets people make purchases, enter contests, donate, or conduct other activities by just posting a hashtag on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. The start--which is led by Chris Teso--said the idea is to "activate" conversions on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, turning social media posts into actual conversions. The new product is an expansion beyond just allowing companies to sell items directly on those social services. Chirpify said that it has already signed on Forever 21, MasterCard and NPR's Live Wire as customers using the new #actiontags service.
