Chirpify Hires Business Development Head

Portland-based Chirpify, the startup developer of a Twitter-focused, payment system, has hired on an American Express vet for its new vice President of Corporate Development on Wednesday. Chirpify said it has named Rayburn Chan as its VP of Corporate Development, tapping Chan's prior experience at both American Express and mobile payments firm Vesta. Chan was most recently head of product and new business development at Vesta, developing mobile wallet platforms, having previously been involved at Amex with co-brand card business development, product management, and marketing. Chirpify is venture backed by Voyager Capital, Geoff Entress, Andy Liu, as well as other local investors and angels.
