Chirpify Launches Payments For Facebook

Portland-based Chirpify, the developer of in-stream purchasing software for Twitter and other social sites, has debuted its payment system for Facebook, the firm said Tuesday. The startup, led by Chris Teso, lets businesses, non-profits, and others offer up items for sale directly in social feeds like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. The firm said it has now gone into general availability for Facebook, which lets users buy, donate, or enter giveaways on Facebook by simple adding comments to listings. Chirpify said that so far, such name brand clients as Adidas, the Portland Trailblazers, the Portland Timbers, and bands Owl City and Neon Trees are all using its Facebook product.
