Ignition Partners Ramps Cloud Investments
In what looks to be a surge of cloud software investments, Seattle-based Ignition Partners has backed another cloud software firm today, Iron.io. Ignition is part of a $1.4M, seed funding round which was led by Baseline Ventures, and which also included Cloud Capital Partners, Citrix Systems, Jonathan Siegel, Matt Ocko, Jared Kopf and Lance White. Iron.io develops message queueing software used by cloud computing software developers. The investment follows a number of recent cloud software investments by Ignition, including investments recently in ServiceMesh (cloud management), Cloudera (big data), Mashape (online APIs), AppFog (PaaS), Apprenda (PaaS), and Couchbase (NoSQL), among others. Iron.io is based in San Francisco. More information »
