Ignition Raises $150M Fund, Turns Eyes Toward Silicon Valley

Bellevue-based venture capital investor Ignition Partners disclosed this morning that it has raised a new, $150M fund, and has opened up a new office in Palo Alto, California. The new fund--Ignition V--will be run by Frank Artale, John Connors, and Nick Sturiale. The move comes as Ignition has increasingly focused on software investments--mostly in Silicon Valley startups. Sturiale will head up Ignition's Silicon Valley efforts. The last eight or nine investments which included Ignition have been in Bay Area, software and cloud firms.
