Boeing Backs Nanosatellite Developer Myriota In $15M Funding

Boeing has made an investment in nanosatellite developer Myriota, which is developing technology designed to enable Internet-of-Things (IoT) networking via satellite. Myriota said it raised $15M in a Series A funding, which came from Main Sequence Ventures and Blue Sky Venture Capital and included Boeing HorizonX Ventures, Singtel Innov8 and Right Click Capital. The investment from Boeing's HorizonX Ventures is the first outside the U.S. for the fund. Myriota is a spin-out from the University of South Australia, and was founded in 2015.
