Kymeta Creates New Wireless Business Unit

Redmond-based satellite antenna developer Kymeta says it is creating a new business unit, as it preps to roll out a new high throughput, broadband satellite service. According to Kymeta, its new KALO Business Unit will work with Intelsat S.A. in anticipation of 2017 commercial service availability of its satellite-based, wireless mobile service. The company said it plans to provide a by-the-gigabyte pricing plan on that high throughput service, which uses Kymeta's terminals and antenna subsystems to connect with Intelsat's existing satellite constellation. The new business unit will be headed by newly appoint Senior Vice President and General Manager Dushyant Sukhija.
