Kymeta Launches Trek Across America To Test, Show Off Satellite Internet
Redmond-based satellite antenna developer Kymeta is kicking off the launch of its own, wireless Internet services unit, KALO, with a tour across 7,000 miles of the United States, the company said on Wednesday. Kymeta said it will set out in a Toyota RAV4 from Washington, DC, wind through the country, and end up at Kymeta's campus in Redmond on November 27th. Kymeta said it is targeting its KALO service to the military, news reporting, first responders, construction, trains, buses and others. Kymeta's satellite terminals and antennas are being used to connect to IntelSat's Flex satellite network in the tour.
