Inventor Hacks Amazon Dash Button To Push Donations To ACLU
Nathan Pryor, ticked off at the Trump administration, has "hacked" the Amazon Dash API to create an Amazon Dash button which--when pushed--automatically donates $5 to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). In a video he posted to YouTube, the software engineer shows how he used Amazon's button to figure out how to automatically fill out the form on the ACLU's site to allow users to automatically donate $5 to the ACLU every time the button is pressed; Pryor has released the source code to the button on the open source code site Github. Pryor said he developed the button after his friend, Katherine, told him "I wish there was an ACLU Dash button I could push to donate any time I read about the latest offense from Trump."
