Amazon Continues To Expand Dash Replenishment Program

Seattle-based Amazon has further expanded its Dash Replenishment program, saying today that it has added device makers GeniCam, Honeywell, Nestle, and WePlenish to its program. Amazon's program lets devices automatically reorder supplies for themselves--for example, laundry detergent by a washing machine, coffee when a coffee maker runs out of coffee, etc--all through its own API and integration program. Amazon said, as part of the expansion, that the Whirpool Smart Dishwater and PUR Ultimate Faucet Filtration System now tracks water consumption and will automatically reorder replacement filters when needed, and supplies that water consumption and filter usage to your smartphone.
