Amazon, Brita Link Up On Wi-Fi Enabled, Smart Water PItcher
Is your water pitcher in your fridge keeping tabs on your drinking habits? It just might be--if you want it to--thanks to a new "smart" gadget from Amazon.com and Brita. According to the two companies, they have teamed up to develop a Wi-Fi enabled pitcher--the Brita Infinity--tracks the amount of water passing through that water pitcher in your fridge, and automatically orders a new filter from Amazon.com when it's time for a change. According to the two, the pitcher keeps track of how much water is poured into it, and a new filter is ordered after roughly 40 gallons of water is poured through that pitcher. The new service is run through the Amazon Dash Replenishment program.
