Bezos Backs UNITY Biotechnology In New Funding

Bezos Expeditions, the venture arm of Jeff Bezos, is one of the investors in a big $116M funding round for Silicon Valley-based biotechnology developer UNITY Biotechnology. UNITY announced a funding this week, a Series B, which came from ARCH Venture Partners, Baillie Gifford, Fidelity Management and Research Company, Partner Fund Management, and Venrock, plus Bezos Expeditions, WuXi PharmaTech and Mayo Clinic Ventures. UNITY Biotechnology is working on therapeutics that prevent, halt, or reverse numerous diseases of aging.
