Bezos Expeditions Backs Low Cost 3D Printer Maker
Bezos Expeditions, the venture capital arm of Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, is one of the investors in a 3D printer firm. MakerBot, a New York-based company developing low cost, 3D printing technology, said it raised $10M in a funding round Tuesday. The round was led by the Foundry Group, and also included Bezos Expeditions, True Ventures, RE Ventures, and others. MakerBot's products allow people to create real, 3D objects from computer designs.
