Bezos Backs Aviary

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com, is one of the investors in New York-based Aviary, a developer of creative applications being deployed as software-as-a-service. The firm announced today that it has received $7M in a Series B financing from Spark Capital and Bezos Expeditions, the personal investment firm of Jeff Bezos. Aviary is developing graphic design, audio editing, photo editing, and other tools as an alternative to desktop software from companies like Adobe.
