Xinova Spins Out Of Intellectual Ventures
Seattle-based Xinova, the research and development organization which helps companies create new spinouts of their technology, said it has formally spun out of Intellectual Ventures. The company--formerly known as the Invention Development Fund (IDF)--says it has more than 80 experts at the company, which will help with the "creation and deployment of innovation." Xinova will be led by Thomas Kang, who was formerly CEO of Seoul Securities, and says it already has customres such as Funai Electric, CollinsWoerman, and Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA); the company's Chairman is Jorma Ollila, former Chairman of Royal Dutch Shell and former Chairman & CEO of Nokia.
