Amazon Studios Acquires Woody Allen's Latest Film

Seattle-based Amazon.com said late Thursday that it has acquired the rights to Woody Allen's latest film, as it continues to upend the traditional, Hollywood studio model. According to Amazon.com, its content production arm, Amazon Studios, has acquired a romantic comedy, which has yet to get a title, which stars Jeannie Berlin, Steve Carell, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Corey Stoll and Ken Stott. Amazon said the film will open through a traditional, nationwide theatrical release, and then will available exclusively to member of Prime Video. Financial details of the film acquisition were not disclosed.
