Amazon's Woody Allen Movie To Get Opening Slot At Cannes

Amazon's newly purchased, Woody Allen movie--Cafe Society--is the opening film at the Cannes film festival, on May 11th. The film is Woody Allen's 14th. Amazon made waves in Hollywood with its record breaking acquisition of the film, for $15M. The spot at Cannes highlights Amazon's major move into creating and owning content, which it originally started developing for its Amazon Prime streaming video service.
