PDX Gets Major EV Charger Install

Portland International Airport (PDX) now has the world's largest installation of commercial, electric vehicle chargers of any airport in the United States, according to the airport's installation vendor. PowerPost, the installer of PDX's new electric vehicle chargers, said it has installed 42 charging stations at PDX, which are vailable to both airport employees and travelers. PDX said the installation is one of many of its environmental initiatives. PowerPost's EV chargers are level 1 chargers, which the company says provides about 5 miles of range for every hour they are plugged in. The new EV charging stations are free to both employees and visitors.
