Electric Car Charging Station Set For Seattle Location
A Silicon Valley company which is installing electric car charging stations nationwide, ECOtality, reported today that it will be installing its first, electric car charging station in Seattle. ECOtality said it is installing its Blink DC Fast Charger location in the South Lake Union Discovery Center, which is owned by Paul G. Allen's Vulcan Real Estate. The charger is the first of a network of chargers ECOtality is planning to install throughout the Puget Sound region. The installation is part of ECOtality's work with The EV Project, an effort to create a network of commercial and residential charging stations nationwide; that project is being funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
