ClearEdge Gets $2.8M From PNNL
Hillsboro, Oregon-based ClearEdge Power, the developer of fuel cell systems which convert natural gas into energy, has been awarded $2.8M as part of a project to install the firm's systems into commercial buildings. The grant, from the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), will go towards installation of fuel cells in 10 different business in California and Oregon. ClearEdge will install its ClearEdge5 system in those businesses, with PNNL monitoring and measuring the energy savings from using the systems.
