Getty Images, Microsoft Reach Deal On Photo Embedding

Microsoft said Tuesday morning that the two are in new partnership, where they will work together to develop services for Bing and Cortana, using Getty Images' imagery. Financial and further details on the agreement were not disclosed. The agreement comes nearly seven months after Getty Images took Microsoft Corp to court, over a tool launched by Microsoft which allowed copyrighted images--including many from Getty Images--to be embedded easily from Bing. Getty Images already offers a similar, image embedding tool which directs image viewers back to Getty Images.
