Report: Starbucks Now Processing $1 Billion In Mobile Payments Every Year

Think mobile payments are the future? Well, the future is now--at least for Seattle's Starbucks, which apparently processed $1 billion in mobile payments in 2013. A report says that the payments came via Starbucks popular mobile apps and loyalty program, via the many in-store transactions made by its customers. The report--from the Business Insider--estimated the volume via prior statements by Starbucks about its mobile payments and transaction volume.
