Starbucks Accepts Square Today
Seattle-based Starbucks and Square said this morning that Starbucks will begin accepting Square's mobile payment application starting today at participating U.S. locations. The two said that users can use Square Wallet, Square's mobile payment app, to pay for transactions at locations, part of a partnership announced earlier this year between the two companies. Square's software works on both iOS and Android phones. Starbucks made an investment in August in Square, and also said it would begin running its credit card payments through Square.
