Tweddle Connect Acquired By Nuance

Tweddle Connect, the Bellevue-based automotive infotainment systems developer which is part of Tweddle Group, has been acquired by Nuance, in a deal worth $80M in cash, Nuance said Thursday. Nuance said it acquired the Tweddle Connect business, which provides an application and content service delivery platform for in-car infotainment system. Nuance said the buy will accelerate its participation in the "connected car" market. Tweddle Group will continue separately focused on providing vehicle and owner information to automotive OEMs and suppliers.
