Varolii Acquired By Nuance

Seattle-based Varolli, the cloud-based email and communications provider for the enterprise, has been acquired by Nuance, the companies announced this morning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Varolii was venture backed by BlueRun Ventures, Draper Fischer Jurvetson, Institutional Venture Partners and InterWest Partners. Varolii's products was used by companies to manage outbound, customer service communications, including email, automated phone, and text messaging. Varolli was led by Microsoft veteran David McCann.
