Amazon Appstore Expands Worldwide

Amazon has just extended access to its Android app marketplace, Amazon Appstore, to nearly 200 countries, the company said this morning. Amazon said the expansion now allows customers to buy apps and games from their Macs, PCs, or Android phones and tablets. The expansion also comes as it will be launching the Kindle Fire, its Android-based tablet, to over 170 new countries on June 13th. Amazon has typically launched its various services and products in the U.S., followed by limited release in countries like the UK, Germany, and other European countries, as well as China and Japan, later rolling out access worldwide.
