Cray Supercomputer Deployed In Japan
Seattle-based supercomputer maker Cray said this week that one of its Cray XC30 Supercomputers has been put into production in Japan. The firm said that the Japan Advanced Institute for Science and Technology (JAIST)is using the new supercomputer for research into massively parallel programming and scientific analysis. Cray said the supercomputer is the first in Japan and Asia. The XC30 has a peak performance of more than 118 teraflops.
