Cray Deploys Supercomputers In Japan

Seattle-based Cray said it has deployed another set of supercomputers into Japan, as part of a win with Japan's Railway Technical Research Institute this morning. Cray said that it has put a Cray XC30-AC supercomputer, a Cray CS300 cluster supercomputer and a Cray Sonexion storage system into production for the Japanese research organization. Financial details of the win were not announced. Cray said its supercomputers are being used in a cluster to perform complex simulations aimed at advancing railway technologies.
