Pendrell Buys Patents From Nokia
Kirkland-based patent licensing firm Pendrell said this moring that it has acquired what it described as a portfolio of "foundational memory technology" patents from Nokia. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Pendrell said the deal included 125 patents and patent applications worldwide, covering a wide range of memory technologies for electronic devices, including secure digital (SD) cards, embedded flash, and universal flash storage technology.
