Pendrell Amasses 1,300 Patents

Kirkland-based Pendrell, a patents and licensing firm which acquires patents and then pursues licensing of those patents from other companies, announced this morning that it has acquired over 1,300 U.S. and foreign patents. The firm said the patents have been acquired by its subsidiaries, in five different transactions. Pendrell said the patents cover wireless handset and infrastructure technologies, e-commerce, mobile applications, video delivery and security. Financial details of the buys were not disclosed.
