Cray Taps Intel Xeon Phi For New Supercomputers
Seatle-based Cray, the developer of supercomputers, said today that its next general, "Cascade" supercomputer will be available with Intel's new Xeon Phi coprocessors. Cray said its supercomputer, expected to be available in the first half of 2013, will use the Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor to enhance parallel performance in its computers. The Xeon Phi is used for high end systems.
