Rover.com Raises $3.4 For Dog Sitting Marketplace
Seattle-based Rover.com said this morning that it has raised $3.4M in a Series A funding, to make it easier for dog owners to find a pet sitter. The firm said that the funding round was led by Madrona Venture Group, which also included CrunchFund and other angels. Rover.com operates an online marketplace to help connect dog owners with local dog sitters, and is headed by Aaron Easterly. The firm said the funding will go to expand its national footprint, expanding beyond Seattle, where it launched in November. Rover.com's website helps connects dog owners with other dog owners, neighbors, and professional dogsitters. More information »
