Rover.com Expands Services, Buys Sleepover Rover
Rover, meet Rover. Seattle-based pet care marketplace Rover.com, which is led by Aaron Easterly, has acquired another, pet sitting marketplace provider, Sleepover Rover, the two said today. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. In addition, Rover.com said it is launching a brand new, premium offering called Rover Premier, which will let dog owners select sitters who have undergone further screening and interviews, and also a home and yard inspection, starting in Denver, Colorado. Sleepover Rover was based in Phoenix, Arizona, and finds dog hosts among dog-loving retirees, stay-at-home parents, or professionals who work from home offices.
