Symantec To Chop 55 In Beaverton

Web security software firm Symantec is cutting 53 of its staff in Beaverton, Oregon, according to the State of Oregon's WARN notification system. According to the notice, the layoffs will be made on May 5th. Reasons for the move have not been announced. Oregon employers are required by law to report when they are laying off more than 50 people at a single site of employment.
