Microsoft Adds Former Symantec CEO Thompson To Board

Redmond-based Microsoft Corp. said Monday that it has added a new member to its board of directors, John W. Thompson, the former CEO of Symantec. Thompson is currently CEO of Virtual Instruments, and has also served at IBM. Thompson was Chairman and CEO of Symantec, serving as CEO from 1999 to 2009 and Chairman until last year. Microsoft said it now has ten board members.
