Isilon Gains Certification From Symantec

Seattle-based Isilon Systems reported today that the firm has certified its data storage products with Symantec's popular backup and recovery product, NetBackup. Isilon said that Isilon IQ, its network attached storage product, has been certified using Symantec NetBackup and the network data management protocol (NDMP) standard, which is used by backup software for controlling the data backup process. Isilon is working with Symantec through Symantec's Technology Enabled Program.
