Urban Airship Buys SimpleGeo
Portland-based Urban Airship, a developer of smart phone infrastructure and application software, has acquired SimpleGeo, a developer of location-based APIs and services. Financial terms were not disclosed, however, the deal was reportedly worth $3.5M. SimpleGeo was backed by First Round Capital, Freestyle Capital, Lowercase Capital, Redpoint Ventures, and The Foundry Group, along with angels. Urban Airship is backed by the Founder's Co-Op, Foundry Group, and True Ventures.
