Intermec Wins Defense Contract
Everett, Washington-based Intermec, a developer of RFID products and bar code printers, reported this morning that it has scored a contract worth potentially $418M from the U.S. Department of Defense. Intermec said the initial three year contract, with an option for six additional years of purchases, covers assets tracking products. The award was granted by the U.S. Department of Defense's (DoD) Army Contracting Command for Automatic Identification Technology. The contact covers the firm's mobile computers, barcode scanners, RFID printers, and barcode printers.
