Intermec Wins Delta Airlines Unit

Everett, Washington-based Intermec, the developer of barcode scanning systems and ruggedized computers, reported today that Delta Global Services, the subsidiary of Delta Airlines which provides disability passenger handling and aviation services, is using its products. Intermec said Delta is using its CS40 handheld mobile computer at Memphis International Airport (MEM). Size of the win was not announced. Intermec said its handheld computers are being used to scan passenger boarding pass information and gate location, to provide wheelchair assistance for the airport.
