Cray Wins $16M Contract
Seattle-based supercomputer maker Cray said Thursday that it has received a $16M contract, from the U.S. Department of Defense. Cray said the contract is part of the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program (DOD HPCMP), and will go towards upgrading three Cray Xe6 supercomputers, plus deliver a new Cray XE6m to the Naval Research Laboratory in Monterey, California.
