thePlatform Signs BBC News

Seattle-based broadband video application service provider thePlatform announced today that BBC Global News has selected thePlatform's media management and publishing system to distribute short-form video content to YouTube. ThePlatform said BBC Global News will publish as many as 30 new clips per day on its dedicated YouTube channel. thePlatform develops video management tools for content providers, and is a subsidiary of Comcast. Among its clientele are ABC News, CNBC, Court TV, Microsoft, Sony/BMG Music and Verizon Wireless.
