Planar, Leyard Buy Display Maker Eyevis

Chinese display maker Leyard and Planar Systems, the Beaverton, Oregon-based LCD and LED display unit of Leyard, said this morning that it has acquired eyevis, along with Teracue. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Eyevis is a German manufacturer of video displays, used in such applications as control rooms, broadcast, virtual reality and simulation. Teracue is owned by eyevis, and was acquired by eyevis in 2014. Leyard acquired Planar Systems in 2015.
