Smartsheet Eyes IPO

Bellevue-based Smartsheet, which develops business collaboration software, is eyeing an IPO, and has hired a trio of investment bankers to take it public, according to a report today. According to Reuters, citing "people familiar with the matter", Smartsheet has hired Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase & Co., and Jefferies LLC as its IPO bankers, for an IPO that would value the company at around $1 billion. Smartsheet is venture backed by Sutter Hill Ventures, Insight Venture Partners, and Madrona Venture Group, among others.
