Smartsheet Snags $26M

Bellevue-based Smartsheet.com, the developer of online collaboration tools, has just pulled together a big chunk of funding. The firm announced today that it has raised $26M in a funding round, which came from Insight Venture Partners and Madrona Venture Group. Smartsheet said the funding goes towards sales and marketing, software development, and to expand its partnerships. Insight's Ryan Hinkle joins the company's board with the funding. Smartsheet, which is led by Mark Mader, develops software used by customers to share spreadsheet-style data and information with others. More information »
