Yes, Amazon Wants The Keys To Your House

Amazon wants the keys to your house--literally. The e-commerce giant said on Wednesday that it has launched a brand new service called Amazon Key, which literally will open up the doors to your house for Amazon Prime deliveries, and even open the door for the maid and other professional services providers. The new service--which ties into a smart lock, the Amazon Key app, and its new indoor security camera, the Amazon Cloud Cam--literally lets people into your house so they can drop off packages inside. Amazon said the new service will launch on November 8th, in 37 cities and surrounding areas. The company said that, in coming months, it will also integrate with such brands as Merry Maids, the pet sitting and dog walking service Rover.com, as well as service providers through Amazon Home Services.
