KITT.AI Acquired By Baidu
Seattle-based natural language software developer KITT.AI has been acquired by Chinese search engine giant Baidu, the companies announced on Tuesday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. KITT.AI makes software which helps detect "hotwords", understand written language, an help understand and drive "bot" conversations with people. According to KITT.AI, it will continue to offer up its existing products and brands to developers. KITT.AI was venture backed by the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence, Amazon.com, Founders Co'op, Madrona Venture Group, and A-Level Capital.
