Microsoft Ventures Backs Synack For Crowdsourced Penetration Testing

Microsoft Ventures, the venture capital arm of Microsoft is the lead investor in a "white hat" hacking firm called Synack, which announced a $21.25M Series C funding on Tuesday. The funding was led by Microsoft Ventures, and also included Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Singtel Innov8. Synack taps a network of "white hat" hackers to help enterprises crowdsource penetration testing and help companies better protect against attackers.
