Microsoft Backs Paxata

Microsoft Ventures is one of the backers in the latest round for Silicon Valley-based Paxata, a developer of data management software for the enterprise data analytics market. Paxata said Monday it raised $33.5M in funding, led by Intel Capital, and also including Microsoft Ventures, Cisco Investments, Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners and AirTree Ventures, EDBI, In-Q-Tel and Accel.
