Microsoft Expands HoloLens Availability In International Markets

Redmond-based Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it has expanded its HoloLens augmented reality glasses to six more countries, making the device available for preorders in Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Microsoft said the devices will ship in late November. Microsoft HoloLens is a head mounted, augmented reality device which allows users to interact with both virtual images and the real world--what Microsoft is calling "mixed reality", and which so far has only rolled out in the U.S. and Canada.
