IOTAS Gets $250,000 For Smart Home Technology
Portland-based IOTAS, a developer of "smart home" technology specifically geared to be installed for apartment renters, by building owners and developers, has raised $250,000 in a funding round, the company said on Friday. The funding came from Oregon BEST, and its Early-Stage Funding Program. IOTAS says that its smart energy technology--including switches, outlets, thermostats and sensors--helps save energy for building owners. That technology tracks a renter's daily routine--such as when they enter or leave an apartment--to better adjust energy and lighting usage. The startup is led by Sce Pike. More information »
